The Dripping Springs Library, Bee Cave Library, and Austin Libraries often have free story times and events just for kids. Book stores like Book People & Barnes and Noble also have story times throughout the year.

Making a meal for a large group can be costly, but if each group brings one or two essential ingredients it’s much more reasonable, and now everyone can pitch in on the cooking.

Instead of spending $40 at the movie theater consider a new board game, which you can enjoy for hours, and then when you’ve had enough you can trade games with a neighbor.
